How do you pass on the secrets of your success to future generations?

How do you pass on the secrets of your success to future generations?

How do you leverage yourself to grow your business faster and more profitably? Last week, we talked about several secrets every new entrepreneur should know to build a successful business. This week, we share two secrets that could be worth millions of dollars to your personal business over the next five years. A big promise, but one that I’m certain can be delivered on because I’ve seen it work for hundreds of entrepreneurs in a wide range of businesses across America.

These two secrets have helped me grow many of my best clients by hundreds of millions of dollars in sales and profits over the year. These simple secrets make it easy for purpose driven entrepreneurs to get their asking price and more for their businesses when they sell them. It allows these leaders to grow their organizations on demand. I’ve used these secrets with both my large clients and, even more effectively, with my smaller business clients. Now, let’s share what you’ve been waiting for since last week. Lets create leverage for your marketing efforts the No BS Way!

The most important skill a purpose driven entrepreneur can bring to their organization is their ability to use effective marketing to leverage their organization’s strengths for growth. If people aren’t talking about your business, people are not buying from your business. Simple idea, powerful implications!! Many small businesses fail because they believe it’s great products and services that make a great business. Successful organizations understand their greatest leverage comes from their marketing and business development systems.

Successful entrepreneurs understand that marketing is the secret to both short and long term success. They know that their ability to tell a good story, create an extraordinary experience, and create raving fans comes directly from their ability to use different tools to connect to their communities, clients, and future customers. They focus on the details that matter to their customers, not to the advertising award community. Hip, cool ads might be good for giant businesses, but they do not guarantee that customers buy from you. Successful marketing and advertising is about the results and outcomes your customer receives when buying your product. If your marketing does anything well it must provide the intended results for your clients every time.

The final secret is critical to your business success. It’s the hardest thing for my clients to learn but once they do, the sky’s the limit. It’s the secret I use to find my best clients before anyone else even knows about them. For new entrepreneurs, it can make all the difference to their growing business. You must be willing to be yourself, only bigger. My best clients and partners are many of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs because they act like a world beater long before they are. Now stop and think about that for a moment…

To succeed in the world today you must have the ability to share your point of view on your market in a way that compels people to see you as their equal, and in your specialty, a trusted partner that not only sees the future but helps create it. When I heard Dan Kennedy say this over twenty years ago, a light bulb went off for me that hasn’t gone off since. If you hope to succeed in anything you must have a mission, vision, and values that not only excite you but attract the right people to you. The only way this works is if you are willing to grow beyond your comfort zone. You must consistently position your message in front of the right people, the individuals who are willing to share you with family, friends, and business associates.

Dan Kennedy’s program Magnetic Marketing provides many tools to help you better implement this program. Early in my career I used Magnetic Marketing strategies to help W. Edwards Deming increase his influence in the field of education. It allowed us leverage his global reputation while raising alarms with leaders across America who were concerned about the quality of our children’s education. These marketing letters and consistent follow up systems introduced me to many key executives who would help me build several market leading organizations over the years.

One of the reasons I wrote these blogs is that I hope to inspire you to take the next step in your entrepreneurial journey. The first time I met Dan Kennedy, over twenty years ago, he shared his business secrets with me. I have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars and my time in learning almost everything I can from Dan and the people he recommends to me. His ideas and strategies have allowed me to take care of my sick parents when I needed to. They have provided my friends and partners significant wealth and prosperity. His secrets help me leverage my marketing efforts. You can find many of Dan’s best resources at his website.

Being an entrepreneur today can be a challenging, thankless job. If you want to excel, you must find good mentors to help you reach your goals. I hope we can keep providing you with the information you need to succeed bigger than your wildest dreams. I’m looking forward to supporting your goals and dreams.

Next week, we share another leader that can help you get the most out of your investment in your time, people, and business. Next week, we introduce you to several key serving leadership principles from one of my earliest mentors, W. Edwards Deming. See you here.
